Comme des Garçons Homme Plus and Win reveal their official images Air Max Dolce collaboration, after her first appearance in Spring Summer 2026 Runway in Paris. The project focuses on a refined version of the silhouette, where the choice of material and construction sets the direction. Rei KawakuboHis approach guides the design, keeping the palette controlled while pushing the form into a distinct space between sneaker and formal shoe.
The shoe arrives in an all-black finish that sharpens every element of its construction. Glossy patent leather covers the toe, tongue and heel, giving the surface a reflective quality that shifts under the light. Smooth leather overlays frame the structure and introduce contrast through texture. The quarters and toe box maintain a reduced profile, keeping the shape clean and direct.

The slip-on format removes visible fasteners and draws attention to the outline of the shoe. This construction aligns with the growing presence of hybrid footwear that draws from both formal and athletic references. The midsole takes a tonal approach, integrating with the upper while featuring visible Max Air cushioning in the heel. This element anchors the shoe to Nike’s performance line, even as the rest of the design shifts towards a more synthetic outsole.

The ‘Nike Air’ logo is embossed on the heel, while Comme des Garçons Homme Plus appears on the soles. The collaboration eschews overt graphics, relying on fit and finish to signal its identity. Additional CDG text appears on the leather tongue.

The Air Max Dolce enters a resurgent category where footwear balances formal elements with casual wear. Nike has explored this direction at various times, revisiting it through various collaborations and internal designs. This project draws from that history, returning to earlier ideas and adapting them through the lens of Comme des Garçons Homme Plus.

The silhouette is based on the design language of the early 2000s, with molded quarter panels that create a defined line that adds structure while keeping the surface clean. This approach frames the Air Max Dolce as a focused study of form and material, where each element plays a clear role, placing the collaboration between archival references and current design priorities through precise, controlled execution.
