Wireless concept gaming auditors LEVION fits preteen hands using a ridged design inspired by the shape of seahorses. Designed for a set of PlayStation controller heads, the project is aimed at players between the ages of 9 and 12. The designer’s reference for the shape was the seahorse because it holds its body in a vertical position. It has a curved spine that curves from head to tail, and along its trunk, the hippocampus has a series of bony rings that create this series of rigid slides.
The head of the hippocampus then sits on top of this curve and the snout extends forward. These four elements – upright posture, curved spine, ridged surface and proportional head – appear in the form of LEVION wireless game controllers, all helping pre-teens play comfortably. Looking at the design, the body of each stick cap curves inward and widens. The base, where the cap meets the control lever, is the widest point on the bottom half. The top, where the thumb rests, is the widest point on the upper half. From here, the middle section narrows, giving the thumb a contact point at the top and a seat at the bottom.

The protrusions on the lower half of the body of the LEVION concept wireless game controllers are executed in horizontal bands. They sit at equal intervals, similar to those of the hippocampus. On the device, ridges separate the index finger and the base of the thumb for when the hand wraps around the bottom of the cap when the user plays for a long time. Looking at the top, it bears the PlayStation symbol set: cross, triangle, circle and square.
These four symbols are in the same layout they occupy on a typical DualSense face button cluster. They only appear on the top of the wand cap as a surface texture, as they are not buttons. Below the symbols, there is a circular pad raised in the center. In terms of material, the skin of original LEVION wireless game controllers looks like silicone or others that have a soft, rubbery texture. At the moment, the LEVION is a concept by designer Vedic father.
