20th Century Studios new trailer and poster released for The Devil Wears Prada 2building momentum ahead of the film’s theatrical release on May 1, 2026. The sequel returns to the world of Runway magazine nearly twenty years after the original film became a defining story of fashion, ambition and power in the workplace. The new trailer offers a closer look at the changing relationships between familiar characters as they navigate a transformed media industry.

Meryl Streep returns as Miranda Priestlythe formidable editor of Runway, who now faces the slow decline of print media while struggling to maintain the magazine’s influence. Anne Hathaway reprises her role as Andy Sachsrevisiting her connection to Miranda years after the events of the original film. Emily Blunt returns as Emily Charltonwhose career has progressed to a powerful executive position at a luxury conglomerate controlling major advertising budgets. Her new role places her in direct negotiation with Miranda, creating a new power dynamic between former boss and assistant.

For the much-discussed The Devil Wears Prada 2 movie poster, Meryl Streep wears a custom Balenciaga Look, a clear nod to the instantly recognizable visual language of the first film. The sculptural red dress parallels the original poster’s iconic “devil horns” motif, translating that sharp, graphic stance into couture-level volume, silhouette and drama, and is also featured in the latest trailer.

Stanley Tucci returns as Nigelthe creative director of Runway. Tracy Toms and Tibor Feldman also reprise their roles as Lily and Irv Ravitz.
