In case of squeaking doors or other accidents related to these accessories, for example, you don’t need to do big things, but just apply a series of small precautions.

- If a door makes noise even when it is closed, it means that there are problems, not so much with the assembly but how much fits on the attacker’s plate. The fault, it seems, is all in the small metal protrusion on the frame, the one right where the lock latch engages. To solve it yourself, you just have to locate it on the frame and then – with the help of a screwdriver – bend it out. Finally, repeat the operation until the noise passes, as long as it is with a specific treat.
- In case doors that creak, however, the problem may be lubrication. So it would be a good idea to put some lube on the hinges and move the door back and forth until the fluid clears up the noise.
