Workspace Design Show London Unveils ‘Connected Reality’ Facilities Designed by MCM, Peldon Rose, Gensler, M Moser Associates

Together, the installations form a journey across the exhibition floor, inviting visitors to pause, interact, reflect and rethink how workplaces are designed, experienced and maintained.

The Circular Hub by MCM & Future Works

Designed by MCM in collaboration with Future Works, the innovative venture of The Furniture Practice, the Circular Hub is a dedicated space that explores circularity across a range of product typologies. Materials are traced from raw to refined, with natural and synthetic options displayed side by side to reveal different circular paths. The space includes contributions of materials and products from Nested Living, Materials Assemble, Tate, Vitra and Planteria.

A program of practical challenges invites participants to dismantle and rebuild a piece of furniture, putting adaptability, repair and reuse into practice. The booth itself acts as a living prototype, demonstrating a minimal, near-zero-waste exhibition approach based on learning, experimentation and reuse.

Insights Lounge: Exhale by Peldon Rose

Peldon Rose presents Exhale: a booth for deep listening. Attention softens, breathing slows and ideas quiet. Between conversations, a twenty-minute exhalation unfolds, an architectural change of weather shaped by scent and light, renewing the atmosphere and retuning the space. This is the new home for the Sustainability Talks & Occupiers Forum.

Fusion: The M Moser salon

Merge invites visitors to explore the evolving relationship between craft and technology. It is divided into two journeys, one designed and one for discovery. The installation demonstrates how embedded technology in the workplace supports flexibility and real-time responsiveness. Suppliers include Camira, Viccarbe, Osol, Planteria and Steelcase.

Through smart digital interfaces, people can personalize elements such as lighting and color, actively transforming the space around them. This interaction blurs the boundaries between user and environment, showing how future workplaces are being shaped not only for people, but also for them.

Workspace Design Talks Lounge designed by Gensler and Area

Inspired by this year’s theme “Connected Realities”, the set design moves between physical and digital realms. Transporting visitors to a new dimension, cosmic colors fade into gentle gradients, forming a calm yet mysterious space. In the center, a circular stage brings the focus back to people, suggesting that in our changing worlds, human connection remains our true ground.

“These installations are not just visual statements. They are experiences designed to provoke discussion, reflection and interaction.” says Esha Bark-Jones, Exhibition Director, Workspace Design Show. “Connected Reality is about how workplaces are evolving in real time, and these facilities allow visitors to experience that evolution firsthand.”

After the installations, visitors can explore the wider exhibition with hundreds of workspace products from international and UK brands, along with four dedicated stages of Workspace Design Talks, Sustainability Talks, Occupiers Forum and the FIS Conference, offering a comprehensive conference program over the two days. With more than 120 speakers, the program brings together leading architects, designers, residents and workplace strategists to discuss the ideas, challenges and opportunities shaping the future of work.
