GAGGENAU AT MILAN DESIGN WEEK 2026

During Milan Design Week 2026, Gaggenau celebrates the “Presence” — a sophisticated architectural installation located in the historic grounds of Villa Necchi Campiglio. Noting the third chapter that follows A form statement (2022) and The altitude of gravity (2024), the installation draws visitors in from the outside, sharpening perception and relaxing distraction through a sequence of spaces shaped by light, material and proportions, inviting them to experience the brand without explanation.

A COLLABORATION WITH 1ZU33

The installation is the result of a long-term collaboration between Gaggenau and architectural office 1zu33. Working in close dialogue, the work reflects a shared approach based on precision, materiality and proportion — shaping a spatial experience defined by clarity and limitation.

INTEGRATION OF ARCHITECTURE, APPLIANCES AND CULINARY ARTS

“Presence” unfolds through a sequence of spaces rather than a static display, where devices are incorporated as intentional focal points in the architecture. A collaboration with Michelin three-star chef Tohru Nakamura completes the spatial experience through an understated culinary layer.

Through light, material and proportion, each element is reduced to its essentials — allowing it to be treated clearly, individually and as part of the overall composition.
