rushera is a recycled sculptural The accessory line was developed through the collaboration of design studio Object with Name and materials manufacturer Plastic Bakery. The work explores how discarded plastic can be reprocessed into new objects through controlled manufacturing methods, while also examining the relationship between synthetic waste and natural forms.
The project is based on a narrative that refers to the interaction between the marine environment and plastic debris. This concept translates into a series of sculptural accessories that combine irregular geometries and layered material textures. The forms are based on visual characteristics associated with corals and marine organisms, while remaining rooted in the physical properties of recycled plastic.

Melting, casting and casting shape rushera’s material strategy
All pieces are produced from 100% recycled plastic. The design process focuses on controlling melting, casting and forming techniques to manipulate the surface grain and internal structure of the material. Fluctuations in temperature, pressure and cooling create unpredictable patterns, which are preserved as a defining characteristic of each object. This approach places material inconsistency as a design parameter rather than a limitation.
For rushera’s first collection, design studio Object with Name and hardware manufacturer Plastic Bakery follows a basic strategy, described as “object hacking”. Existing mass-produced items, including furniture components, are used as a base and modified by adding newly formed plastic elements. This method introduces a dialogue between standardized industrial products and reworked material, changing both function and perception through selective intervention.

The rushera work is currently on display in a permanent exhibition in Seoul, Korea, documenting the entire journey from material research to the final sculptural result. This archive serves as visual evidence of the brand’s commitment to exploring new possibilities in sustainable design and invites visitors to experience the transformation of the material up close.
