GROHE SPA STAGES ‘the aqua sanctuary’ AT MILAN DESIGN WEEK 2026
Through an immersive architectural intervention called “The Aqua Sanctuary”, GROHE SPA returns to the Brera area during Milan Design Week 2026. The brand unveils a 72-hour transformation at the Piccolo Teatro Studio Melato, one of Italy’s most important cultural institutions, opening the doors to installation design for the first time. During the report, Visitors are invited to enter a realm where the rhythmic flow of water sets the pace for the entire experience.

THE VISION BEHIND AQUA SACTUARY
The work is a physical expression of it GROHE SPA’s ethos, “Wellbeing through Water”, led by Paul Flowers, Chief Design and Brand Identity Officer & Executive Vice President of LIXIL.

Within these curated spaces, mind, body and space align in perfect harmony through materiality and craftsmanship to redefine our experience of water as a transformative architectural element.

WELLNESS IN THE WATER AT THREE SAINTS
The installation is choreographed in three interconnected sanctuaries, with each phase evoking a distinct state of being. Within these spaces, light, shadow, materiality and sound interact with flowing water to engage the senses and slow down the perception of time, perfectly articulating GROHE SPA’s understanding of ritual, craftsmanship and sophisticated design.
Shifting the focus to the tangible, a showcase of innovative materials, colors and finishes shows how designers and architects can define cohesive environments – shaping expressive interiors that evoke emotional interaction.
The installation is on display from April 22nd to 26th at the Piccolo Teatro Studio Melato (Via Rivoli 6), in the heart of the Brera Design District.
