Jennifer Garner leads The Five Star weekenda glossy, sunny drama adapted from his best-selling book Elin Hilderbrandits author The perfect couple. Next is the series Hollis Shawa celebrity chef and best-selling author whose life begins to fall apart after a devastating loss.
Garner stars as Hollis Shaw, a celebrity chef and best-selling author known for her recipes, flavor and warm public image. Hollis has built a life that looks polished from the outside, but a devastating loss sends that image into crisis. As she struggles to move forward, grief exposes the pressure beneath her everyday life, including a strained marriage, a complicated relationship with her daughter, and a growing need for validation from her fans.
The story follows Hollis as she tries to regain a sense of control by inviting friends to her home in Nantucket for a weekend away. It brings together women from different periods of her life, including her childhood, twenties and thirties, along with a surprise fifth star. The gathering begins as an attempt to deal with grief and reconnect with herself, then turns into a test of faith, memory and personal boundaries.
Set in a luxurious seaside setting, the series follows the team as their weekend brings difficult truths to light. Secrets surface, relationships change, and each guest faces parts of her life she might have avoided. The plot places friendship, loss, ambition and reinvention in a confined social setting, allowing the drama to build through conversation, history and emotional strain.
