Photographed in Belgrade by Luka Stepanovic and styled by Manta Javorinathe cover introduces a story shaped by the music, the emotional exposure, and the pressure that follows public exposure. On the cover Filarri wears a full Hugo look, setting an immediate visual tone for the issue’s first release. The full interview was conducted by the editor-in-chief of DSCENE magazine Zarko Davinicwill be released soon.
Design Under Pressure examines the forces shaping contemporary culture through fashion, music, design, architecture, art and public life. The issue examines pressure as a creative condition, tracing how artists, designers and cultural figures respond to expectation, speed, visibility and control. With Filarri on the front cover, DSCENE opens the issue through a story based on vulnerability, writing and the need to protect creative space.
At the heart of the debate is Of flesh and bloodFilarri’s debut album, which he describes as a complete work rather than a collection of individual tracks. The record moves through eight songs and an interlude, holding a certain emotional period through the sound. “I wanted to be honest to the core, to completely strip myself emotionally and allow the audience to really get to know me by listening to the album from start to finish.” he says in the interview.
Filarri also talks about the pressure around masculinity, social media and public performance. Music remains the space where he feels most connected to himself, while visibility requires a different kind of control. Discussing the making of Od krvi i mesa, he explains that the album followed instinct and trust: “We worked only according to what we felt and how we saw the whole world without compromise.”
