Born in Paris and based in London, Charrière is a writer, fashion insider and broadcaster and co-founder and co-host of Fashion without a filter podcast, which launched in 2020 and quickly became one of the most influential fashion podcasts of its generation. With over a million followers on Instagram, Camille has built a loyal following drawn to her classic French sensibility, sharpened by a distinctly British ease.

She moved into the flat with her fiance just before the UK’s first lockdown of 2020. The high ceilings, original wooden floorboards and generous natural light provided the perfect base for a home that balances design pedigree with warmth and comfort.

A living room defined by icons—but never precious

In the center of the living room sits a vintage Mario Bellini Modular “Camaleonda” Sofa in four sections for B&Breupholstered in beige cloth from Rose Uniacke. It’s substantial yet inviting, sculptural yet undeniably comfortable—the kind of piece that anchors the entire space.

A used one Afra & Tobia Scarpa “Soriana” easy chair for Cassina in animal print adds a playful, slightly irreverent note, while a white Pierre Paulin Alpha armchair brings unmistakable mid-century gravitas. Originally designed in 1965, the chair is closely associated with Paulin’s redesign of the private apartments in the Élysée Palace in 1972.

Despite the caliber of these pieces, the room never feels staged for effect. Built-in shelves overflow with books and objects collected over time, reinforcing Camille’s desire for a home that feels lived-in rather than styled.

“I don’t want my interior to look like a showroom,” she says. “I want to feel comfortable and relaxed.”

Buy with intent – and longevity in mind

Camille’s approach to interiors reflects her fashion philosophy: buy less, buy better and think long term.

“In my opinion, it’s worth buying things you can resell. That’s why I stay off the high street – I prefer to buy second-hand.”

This mentality explains the eclectic mix of antiques and vintage pieces throughout the apartment, combining French, English and Danish influences without ever feeling forced. Every element feels chosen, not styled.

The kitchen and a nine-month marble obsession

In the kitchen, the undisputed focal point is the custom marble dining table, designed and built by Marble Partners, a London-based studio that works exclusively with salvaged stone. The table’s striking marble patchwork was inspired by a stone floor installation by British artist Martin Creed, which Camille encountered at the Museo Jumex in Mexico City.

“With marble like this, you really have to see it in the flesh to pick the right pieces,” he explains.

The table replaced a temporary vintage wooden one sourced from Sunbury Antiques and the process – from initial concept to installation – took nine monthsstarting in February 2020 and ending in November of the same year. Camille was closely involved throughout, ensuring that the end result was completely personal.

Above the table they hang vintage Murano glass pendantalso discovered in Mexico City, casting a soft glow retro Breuer Cesca rattan dining chairsthat introduce warmth and a subtle mid-century rhythm.

’60s and ’70s Design, Made Human

Throughout the apartment, references to Charlotte Perriand, Pierre Jeanneret, Le Corbusier and Florence Knoll are woven effortlessly. Nothing seems too precious. everything feels useful, comfortable and real.

Camille recently sparked speculation of a possible move to Paris after sharing an Instagram post with the caption “YEARMAXXING 2026!!!!!”showing off an empty Parisian apartment and celebrating a series of personal milestones—including buying their first apartment and finally being able to say “I’m Parisian.” When a follower asked if she was returning to Paris, her answer was direct and clear: “I’m not moving! London is my home.”
