The Backstory

Founded by sisters Ana and Lola Sanchez in 2012, Oliver Gal began as a dream to bring unique, high-quality art to the forefront of interior design. What started with Ana’s vision and a simple sketch on a napkin soon grew into a famous art brand. Today, Oliver Gal is recognized for its signature blend of luxury craftsmanship and modern design, offering exclusive, handcrafted works of art that resonate with collectors and interior designers alike.
Inspiration for their work comes from Miami’s vibrant gallery scene, as well as international photography, travel and the fashion industry. Tracks by Oliver Gall spans from bold contemporary pieces to timeless classics, providing options that seamlessly highlight any space.
The Case for Statement Art

Gallery walls have evolved beyond the grid-like structures we saw in the Instagram era. Today, art is grouped more organically, with pieces hung off-center, mixed in different media, and framed at various depths. This relaxed but purposeful approach gives the walls a curated feel that is both personal and dynamic.
Art has become a true reflection of personalization in interiors. Unlike furniture, which often has to meet functional needs and is usually limited by budget and availability, art is purely an expression of individuality. A carefully curated piece can reveal biographical information about the owner, offering insight into their tastes and experiences. When this artwork has hand-applied gold leaf or diamond dust, it adds a tactile layer that enhances its visual impact, making it not just something to look at but something to feel.
Oliver Gal Art up close

Art by Oliver Gal it is known for its distinctive craftsmanship that sets it apart from standard canvas prints. Each piece is carefully hand-finished with gold leaf applied to a printed surface, creating a stunning interplay of light and shadow that is visible from across the room. These subtle details elevate the artwork, transforming it from a simple print to something much more dynamic and textured.
The studio’s signature decorative program is what gives Oliver Gal’s art its tactile appeal. Each piece is made to order by skilled artisans in our Miami studio, who hand apply materials such as gold leaf, resin, glitter, and even real feathers to bring the artwork to life. This hands-on process ensures that each piece has a unique touch, offering a level of authenticity and craftsmanship that cannot be replicated by mass production.
And it doesn’t stop there. Each Oliver Gal painting comes with a certificate of authenticity and is hand stretched over FSC certified wood in gallery wrap depth. The artwork is finished with a floating frame in black, white, gold or silver, designed to complement and enhance the finished piece.
That’s where Oliver Gal Wall Art gains its edge

Oliver Gal stands out because its prints maintain consistent quality across a wide range of subjects and styles, thanks to its commitment to high-quality substrates and embellishments. The brand’s diverse art collection is versatile enough to furnish entire homes from a single source, offering everything from glamorous fashion imagery to layered abstractions, coastal palettes and botanical studies with fine art precision. Typography, cityscape photography and animal portraits complete the core collection, giving each room a unique touch.
Recently, Oliver Gal has expanded its offerings with bold new designs. The Luxe Shapes line introduces glossy acrylic silhouettes that serve as sculptural objects, while decorative surfboards are produced with the same high-quality finish as their signature canvases.

A rotating collaboration program keeps Oliver Gal’s collection fresh and dynamic. Artists such as Katy Hirschfeld and Michaela Nessim bring their signature compositions to the studio, where they are treated to the same gold leaf and diamond dust options as the brand’s pieces. Collaborations with Tiago Magro and the Doll Memories collective push the tonal range even further, introducing new textures and depth.
To help clients easily curate their spaces, Oliver Gal groups artworks into thematic collections such as Elegant Neutrals, offering a calm, warm atmosphere, or Chic Minimalism, which tones down the color for a more structured look. These curated edits make it easy to find the perfect piece for any room, while leaving room for personal expression selecting individual works of art.
Valerie Darden & The Versailles Edit

Valerie Darden, the creative force behind Brexton Cole in Stafford, Virginia, has built a strong reputation with her work featured in Apartment Therapy, Better Homes & Gardens, Elle Decor, and HGTV. Her past collaborations with Ballard Designs, Ethan Allen, Pottery Barn and Two Pages Curtains have cemented her place in the world of interior design. Darden’s aesthetic is known for its feminine and colorful approach, combining historical references with contemporary scale.
Her collaboration with Oliver Gal began after a honeymoon visit to Versailles, where she was inspired by the grandeur of the gilded interiors and the refined opulence of the historic design. Returning with a distinct visual vocabulary, Darden brought her vision to Ana Sánchez-Gal and Lola Sánchez, the Miami-based sisters who founded Oliver Gal in 2012. Together, they developed The Versailles Edit that marries Darden’s bold color choices and composition with Oliver Galsman.

The collection’s finishing program is based on Oliver Gal’s established design techniques, such as hand-applied gold leaf and diamond dust, integrated seamlessly with Darden’s unique palette. As Darden describes it, her work is “art that dresses a wall like jewelry,” offering a combination of elegance and personal expression.

How to style these pieces in a modern home
Incorporating the Versailles Edit into a contemporary home is all about creating balance. Here’s how to combine luxury pieces with contemporary interiors:
- Keep the Art as the focus: Let the artwork be the standout feature in the room. Pair it with simple, clean furniture like a boucle sofa or an oak console to keep the space modern.
- Complement with warm tones: The collection’s warm palette should guide your decorating choices. Choose earth tones and soft neutrals to highlight the art without competing with it.
- Lighting is essential: Gold leaf and diamond dust look best with angled lighting. Use a picture light or place the artwork where natural light comes in at an angle to emphasize texture and detail.
- Mixing materials for contrast: Combine art with modern materials such as polished metals, plush fabrics or sleek glass to create contrast while keeping the space sophisticated.
- Do not overload the space: Keep the surrounding space relatively minimal to allow the artwork to really shine. A clean, uncluttered environment ensures that the art remains the focal point of the room.
By focusing on minimalism around the art, using careful lighting and adding complementary textures, you can seamlessly integrate Oliver Gal’s work into your contemporary home.
