SNEAKERS
The commemorative Old Skool 36 builds on one of Vans’ most recognizable silhouettes through a mix of texture, color and removable detailing. The shoe features a spray-painted upper, leather overlays, colorful Sidestripe tweed and Vans-themed studs. These elements give the sneaker a collected quality, transforming the familiar Old Skool shape into a design based on fit and memory.

Asphalt starts the new release schedule. Vans will release the colorway on June 25 via Vans.com and select Vans retailers. The brand will also offer the Asphalt version early at Vans Paris Le Marais, where customers can purchase the pair exclusively starting June 22nd. This release in Paris gives the colorway an early retail date before the wider release.
Faded Black and Oatmeal follow on July 23. Both versions continue the same Souvenir construction with new surface treatments and color options. The Navy arrives on August 20, completing the announced release plan. Vans will offer these later promotions through Vans.com and select Vans retail stores.

The model derives much of its character from its mix of materials. A spray-painted upper gives the sneaker a refined visual effect, while leather overlays add structure. The colorful tweed Sidestripe shifts a Vans signature to a richer texture. Removable studs add a playful element and allow wearers to customize the look of the shoe over time.
Vans connects the Old Skool 36 Souvenir with its Premium design approach, which focuses on elevated materials, modern comfort, updated form, improved fit and a revised feel for classic Vans models. The Souvenir edition applies this approach through tactile details and a stronger fashion angle, while the shape maintains its connection to the original Old Skool.

The new drops also expand on the idea of the sneaker as a personal keepsake. Vans describes the commemorative Old Skool 36 as a cultural piece of self-expression, tied to the brand’s Off The Wall mentality. Through Asphalt, Faded Black, Oatmeal and Navy, the model gains new options for summer 2026, keeping the studs, tweed and painted texture as its defining characteristics.
