For DailyObjects, joy is found in daily rituals. From 2021, the Indian lifestyle brand has put a design forward to technical accessories and daily essentials that we all use. From desktop organizers and phone cases to bags and notebooks, DailyObjects brings thoughtful design to busy lives. Her latest collections – Node and Loft – are no exception.
To come up with Node and Loft, DailyObjects collaborated with London experience and design agency LAYER. “From the beginning, there was a strong alignment in the way both teams think about technology, design, and creating products that are useful and emotionally compelling,” says LAYER founder Benjamin Hubert of his studio’s first collaboration with DailyObjects.
Working closely together, the two brands first explored a range of product categories to identify where there was “a real opportunity to rethink tech accessories”. What they found was a gap in the charging sector – specifically, a lack of “originality, flexibility and personality” in charging personal devices. Despite the fact that charging stations are used every day by almost everyone, they often lack any personality, opting instead for simple functionality. Hubert and his team have transformed Node and Loft into two independent but complementary product families.

A modular wireless ‘ecosystem’, Node adapts to the way people move throughout the day, giving them a tether-free touchpoint built around a single-wire installation. The pill-shaped magnetic dock is sleek and streamlined and can be configured as a two-in-one or three-in-one dock system to support four interchangeable wireless units: phone charging dock, charging tray, Apple Watch charging dock and portable lamp. Display-worthy units can be moved from the docking station to the bed, a desk or anywhere without charging interruptions. Wireless means absolute freedom.
Wanting the Node to be more than just a collection of charging solutions, LAYER included the portable lamp as a complementary element. With a built-in eight-hour battery, the petite lantern emits soft light and offers three dimming modes to create ambiance in any setting.
The individual pieces in Node are made from a carefully selected mix of materials (including plastics, metals, glass, textiles and soft-touch materials) that are well suited to their function and provide a lustrous feel and strong character.
“Rather than relying on a single material, each unit is designed to provide the right balance of weight, strength, feel and quality,” says Hubert. “Together, this diverse palette of materials creates a visually rich ecosystem in which each object has its own identity while remaining part of a cohesive family.”

Equally functional, the Loft desktop charging station packs a ton of power into its compact form factor. Angular and forward-facing, the system can handle up to four devices simultaneously via two main fast-charging ports (for laptops, standing tables and phones) and two USB-C ports. Slightly raised, the Loft Station makes it easy to connect anything that needs power, and its understated yet attractive design keeps visual clutter to an absolute minimum. The base is made of silicone to grip surfaces securely and the braided nylon cord adds a premium finish.
What connects Node and Loft are the sculptural arched silhouettes, a considered touch that evolved from the idea of bringing the point of interaction closer to the user.
“Instead of treating the charging surface or the power port as something you have to look for or reach for, we wanted the product to be presented to you,” Hubert says of the two collections. The slight ergonomic angle attracts, while also giving the units an impressive architectural character.
Both the Node and the Loft are offered in a palette of four soft colors that intentionally subvert the ubiquitous metallic finishes and monochromatic hues found on other charging systems. The four selected tones (Charcoal, Clay and Forest inspired by nature and an expressive tangerine) give the everyday lifestyle pieces another distinction that goes far beyond the ordinary.
