That’s not to say the project didn’t have challenges to overcome. More specifically, the designer had to:

Design inspiration: Bohemian style decoration

The client’s inspiration gallery featured bohemian decor of all shapes and sizes. The rooms were minimalistic but comfortable. In addition, they felt free without lacking structure, such as Japanese interior design.

Earth tones and a simplified color code filled the spaces, with brown wood accents and shades of green. In the boho-style living room, the furniture leans towards comfortable beds and seating for families.
Basic concepts: Finding the right designer

The customer then completed a short online quiz to begin the online interior design process. After that, they had a virtual consultation with Decorilla to refine the client’s taste and budget. As a result, the team could choose a handful of designers who would excel in the style. All that was left was to choose the designer she wanted to go with!

While all the suggestions were amazing, they were Casey‘small design that caught the customer’s attention. Texture, contrast and color drive her bohemian interior design, while a relaxing and natural air fills the concept.
Results Revealed: Bohemian Interior Design

At the end, the bedrooms and open plan living room and dining room they were modern bohemian perfections. From the earthy color tones to the comfortable furnishings, this space fits the client’s vision of the ideal boho meets Japandi home.
Combined Boho style living room & Japandi dining room

Charming and modern – the new Boho Japandi living room stands out. It is both versatile and comfortable. In addition, it is also aesthetically pleasing! The living room has a beautiful sectional sofa that anchors the living room. Besides being easy to clean, it warms up the room with its leather tone. The area is grounded by a modern boho rug, with a wooden table in the center.

Warming up the space with an earthy color scheme was the first step for the boho living room. The designer shaped the interior with elaborate decoration to allow for a peaceful feel. At the same time, all the furniture was chosen for durability and comfort in a dining or lounge area.

Additional stylish seating is provided via two woven accent chairs. Warm earth tones pop through the greenery and layered accessories. Bohemian decor covers the walls with abstract art, while textured poufs add extra seating and visual interest to the room.

A textured jute rug anchors the dining area. A wooden table is combined with black chairs, creating contrast and depth in the space. In addition, the color palette of black, white, brown and green coordinates perfectly with the kitchen cabinets.

The black-framed side console with woven rattan detailing echoes the detailing of the accent chairs in the living room. As a result, cohesion is the first thing that captivates in this boho Japandi haven.
Combination mode with style
At first, it seemed like the client’s entire space needed reorganization and structure in order to become a Boho Japandi haven. However, the bedroom already had some zen elements and a good flow. The designer ultimately just had to enhance that feeling by adding additional serene decor. Balancing this space with a fresh new take on a Boho-Japandi came mainly from the color combination and choice of accessories.
Likewise, the guest bedroom had a solid foundation to work with, but still felt calm despite its feature wall. This was done through proper placement of new furniture. In addition, the designer emphasized bohemian style with Boho Japandi accents.
Boho Modern Bedroom with Japanese decoration

A neutral color palette and decor that echoes the Japandi design set the tone for the master bedroom. It is tasteful, calm and well designed. The bed has rich organic colors and textures, with throws, pillows and linens. Additionally, it is balanced by a black bench on one side and bohemian decor on the feature wall above the other.

A fan is at the center of an intricate ceiling design. Additionally, a large rug and abstract art mimic this design on both the floor and the wall. A comfortable accent chair in the corner emphasizes Romany aesthetic interest as well as bringing a practical element to the room. Finally, there is further contrast through the windows. Their frames are in an oat shade, combined with crisp white curtains and matte black rails.
Boho Guest Bedroom with Japandi accents

The guest bedroom has a sense of serenity. Painted in a grey-white color scheme, intrigue is created through the use of polka dot wallpaper. Two painted pieces of art sit on one wall, while on the other, a round mirror bounces more light into the room.

Boho Japan The trim also lines the walls to add interest and height. In addition, a chest of drawers visually lengthens the feature wall. This makes the room feel more spacious.
Design details: Sourcing the perfect pieces

As with all Decorilla projects, the bohemian interior design was accompanied by realistic 3D renderings and a curated online shopping list. The customer was able to view and review all details and complete a single checkout across multiple vendors.
