Sony Music Vision revealed the title and plans for the world premiere Always Lalisaa feature-length documentary directed by Su Kim which follows LISA during a pivotal year away from BLACK PINK. The 97-minute film will have its world premiere at the Gala program on 2026 Toronto International Film Festivalwhich will last from September 10 to 20. The film focuses on the decisions behind this rapid expansion.
The documentary focuses on a clear deadline. For the first time since childhood, LISA is stepping away from BLACKPINK for a year of independence. She faces the pressure to launch a solo career, pursue acting, and build a brand while trying to protect a personal life out of the public eye. Her eventual return to BLACKPINK gives the film a solid endpoint and shapes the story around a limited period of intense change.
Always Lalisa follows the Thai singer after her contract expires PS and the creation of her entertainment company, LOUDin 2024. That year, LISA filmed its third season HBO‘small The White Lotus in Thailand between February and August. It also started “Rockstar”, “New Woman” which characterizes Rosalie and “Moonlight Floor”. Her public appearances included MTV Video Music Awards, World Civic Festival and the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.
Her solo activity accelerated in 2025. LISA released her solo album while continuing her BLACKPINK tour schedule. It marked the premiere of The White Lotus and her HBO series acting debut, appearing in Met Gala and performed a solo set at Coachella. He also signed with the talent agency WME and joined his cast action movie TYGO along the side Don Lee and Lee Jin Wook.
The following year saw the addition of several major projects and appearances. LISA performed “goals” with the Brazilian singer Anita and Nigerian singer Stream during its opening ceremony FIFA World Cup 2026. The performance made her the first female K-pop artist and the first Thai artist to appear on that stage. She also joined the 2026 Met Gala’s host committee, becoming the first K-pop artist to take on this role and was featured in Golden Globes 2026.
Netflix announced two projects with her participation: TYGO and an untitled one romantic comedy that follows a Notting Hill– matter of style. LISA will star and executive produce both projects. Her program also includes I’M LISAa four-show residency in Las Vegas; at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace. The concerts will take place on November 13 and 14 and on November 27 and 28. Tickets sold out in less than 10 minutes, making LISA the first K-pop artist to secure a residency in Las Vegas.
The film situates these achievements in the emotional strain of independence. It looks at how LISA handles music, acting, business, and public exposure as she prepares to return to BLACKPINK.
