The configuration shapes the uninterrupted forms into a voluminous, low-sloping seating design that balances ergonomic comfort with an innovative design. THE MEL COLLECTION INCORPORATE SCULPTURED, GROUNDED SILHOUETTES

The collection reflects the long-term creative synergy between the architect Ramón Esteve and the brandusing rotational molding to create each piece as a continuous shape with no visible joints. True to Esteve’s signature focus on clean lines, balanced proportions and minimalist forms, this structural purity is reminiscent of the low seats of the 1970s, combining rounded corners with ultra-soft upholstery to enhance the collection’s distinctive character while naturally curating immersive outdoor atmospheres.

‘From the beginning, we conceived of Mel as a single format. We didn’t want a fragmented structure, but rather a continuous body – free of visible joints – where rotational molding technology would allow us to express this sense of fluidity. The material had to enhance the clarity of the form. That’s why we sought a continuous, unadorned structure where form, function and construction became one,’ states Vondom.

Made from a monolithic polyethylene body, the collection is available in matte or lacquered finishes in a different color palette. These robust constructions are designed to withstand demanding environments, offering complete tightness combined with high-quality, impact-resistant rigidity. The material features an advanced UV8 factor equivalent to 8,000 hours of Florida sunlight, ensuring full color retention and structural integrity under extreme temperatures.

Upholstery is at the heart of the collection, adding texture, warmth and sophisticated comfort to solid frames. Integrating seamlessly with the polyethylene base, fabric cushions elevate the overall perception of quality. Despite their bulky presence, low-density structures remain light and easy to reposition.
