Adidas introduces CRAZYFLIGHT 7the biggest redesign of the franchise since its debut in 2017. The brand redesigned the model from the ground up for indoor sports where athletes rely on repetitive jumps, soft landings, comfort and energy return. Volleyball and handball drive the new version, with adidas building the shoe around cushioning, stability, ventilation and a sharper visual identity.

Matt FieldingSenior Category Manager for Specialized Sports at adidas, says the shoe came from an 18-month immersion with athletes at every level. According to Fielding, athletes asked for a shoe that could help them jump higher and land softer while providing comfort, support and ventilation during intense indoor play. They also wanted a sleek look for both on and off court use. adidas used this feedback to shape details from the cushioning of the midsole to the new colors.

The CRAZYFLIGHT 7 introduces a full LIGHTSTRIKE PRO midsole to the franchise for the first time. adidas first used the foam in its record-breaking line of running shoes, then refined it here for indoor court demands. The midsole combines LIGHTSTRIKE PRO with an additional layer of LIGHTSTRIKE foam. Together, the setup helps absorb shock upon landing and gives a smooth, responsive feel underfoot. The shoe also offers greater energy efficiency than the CRAZYFLIGHT 6, making it the key update for repeated jumps and quick recoveries during indoor play.
The shoe has a 3-in-1 torsion system built into the sole. adidas tuned the system for vertical focused propulsion, aiming to improve jump height and takeoff power. The same structure helps with lateral stability during explosive multi-directional play, providing support to athletes during quick transitions and landings.

A breathable mesh upper works with an integrated window in the midfoot, allowing cold air to enter and warm air to exit during play in hot indoor arenas. The minimal construction gives the shoe a lighter feel and supports agility. A reinforced heel collar adds locking stability and helps support the ankle during sharp changes of direction and landing phases.
CRAZYFLIGHT 7 introduces a new visual direction for the franchise. adidas uses advanced materials and signature details influenced by its basketball line-up. The exposed torsion system is transformed from an internal mechanism into a visible design feature, putting one of the shoe’s core technologies on display. The first release arrives in Tech Gray with vibrant Solar Turbo accents.

adidas will offer the CRAZYFLIGHT 7 in two versions. The mid-cut version is aimed at volleyball players and is sold at €160. The low-cut version is aimed at athletes who want to take their game further and is available at €150. Both versions release this June via select retailers and adidas.com.
A large group of professional indoor athletes will wear the CRAZYFLIGHT 7 this season, including volleyball players Kamil Semeniuk, Bathelemy Chinenyeze, Magdalena Stysiak, Harper Murray and Lexi Rodriguez, along with handball players Thibaut Briet, Elohim Prandi, Lena Grandveau and Nora Monk.
