Studio Studies Spring Summer 2027, titled In the short term Eternitystudies the city as a place of movement, signs and constant change. Presented at Galerie Basse at the Palais de Tokyo in Paris, Collection No. 29 continues the brand’s connection between art, clothing and urban space. The era was named after Gordon Matt Clarke‘small Art cardsdrawing on the artist and trained architect’s work with buildings facing demolition or abandonment. For DSCENE magazine, Sohom Das exclusive behind-the-scenes details were photographed.

This report forms a wardrobe built around prints, layers and shifting forms. Tailoring and workwear meet through structured coats, soft jackets and precise ensembles. Zippers, technical pockets and removable elements let the clothes change in volume and layers, giving the collection a functional rhythm. Mixed blends of virgin wool and viscose, linen, washed silk, Tencel and organic cotton bring different weights to the composition.

Denim carries the strongest surface treatments, with mismatched combinations, over dyeing, acid and stone washes, spray applications and resin finishes. Knits add nylon-cotton blends, jacquards, bouclé wool and open knit constructions. The palette stays close to the city, passing through chalk beige, sandy gray, metallic browns, brick reds, dusty khaki, charcoal, slate and deep aubergine.

Matta Clark’s archival photographs and text fragments enter the collection as image and language, appearing on a set of shirts and trousers and through the show’s soundtrack. Artist David Duard created a site-specific installation out of screen-printed vertical blinds, forming a temporary space that opened and closed around the models.
