The new silhouette maintains the attitude of the original shape and then gives it a cooler construction with an open heel and slip-on fit. The release brings the Speedcat into backless form while retaining the sleek profile that has renewed attention around the archival design.

Black and pink member Rose features the Speedcat Mule in the accompanying campaign. The images place her in a nostalgic interior setting with vintage-inspired details, giving the launch an elegant and personal tone. Its styling gives the shoe an instant connection to everyday wear, while the campaign keeps the focus on the Mule’s slim shape, soft upper details and comfortable stance.
The design updates the familiar Speedcat shape with a smooth leather upper and pink trim. PUMA removes the laces from the silhouette and adds elastic straps to the forefoot, giving the shoe a clean look and easier entry. The backless construction changes the way the Speedcat works, turning it into an improved slip-on for warmer weather and everyday wear.
PUMA releases the Speedcat Mule in four distinctive colorways: Black, Burgundy, Brown and Cream. Each shade keeps the design close to a neutral wardrobe, while Burgundy and Coffee Brown give the range richer seasonal options. Cream brings a lighter version of the shape and black gives the silhouette the most direct connection to the original Speedcat stance.
The release follows the recent return of the Speedcat, one of PUMA’s archival silhouettes. The brand brought back the shape with original colors and new interpretationsincluding him Ballet Speedcat and Speedcat Wedge. PUMA has also used special edition partnerships to renew attention around the series. The Mule enters this lineup as a seamless update, taking the Speedcat beyond its typical sneaker form while maintaining its recognizable outline.
