CAMILLA AND MARK presents her Pre-Fall 2026 collection through a short film The Power Woman. Developed under his creative direction Camilla Freeman-Topper and Mark Freemanthe film draws from female archetypes and places them in a manufactured version of 1980s corporate America. Westin Bonaventure Hotela postmodern structure described as a ‘city within a city’, where its brutalist and scientific qualities set the tone of the narrative.
Abby Lee takes the central role as Susie Buttoncorporate attorney based in downtown Los Angeles. The story follows her through a series of events that move between police interrogation and personal involvement. As the narrative unfolds, the character reveals a controlled and unwavering approach to her circumstances, defined by consistency and resistance to pressure. The film frames this presence as a reflection of power, expressed through action and decision.
The collection aligns with this direction, focusing on how clothing responds to movement and change. Silhouette, structure and drape define the approach, shaping garments that follow the body. The concept sees clothing as a point of stability, offering support through changing conditions.
Draping plays a central role, with construction that follows the body through wrapping techniques and soft structures. Fringes and tassel detailing feature on the Evara and Dune stories, adding texture to refined forms. Tailoring introduces a different structure through sculpted shoulders, defined waists and architectural lines. Outerwear takes center stage, with overcoats, voluminous trenches and wrap silhouettes designed for layering. Pieces like the Memoria coat and Passage trench reflect this approach, built to move in different conditions while maintaining their form.
Knots and tactile finishes add definition, while wool, including RWS-certified Australian wool, features alongside leather, sheer fabrics and textured knits. Fringes, jacquards and surface treatments create tradeoffs between weight and lightness.
Deep burgundy, chocolate, charcoal, black and stone form the base, with softer tones introduced to extend the range. Camilla Freeman-Topper describes the collection as a personal exploration of the power expressed through clothing. He explains that the work focuses on how fabric, texture and shape can create a sense of grounding and direction. The Pre-Fall 2026 collection was released globally online and in boutiques.
