Not everyone wants to have annoying insects in the house, or rather they are not nice to see, like cockroaches. But unfortunately, in some cases we are the ones who attract them. How; With some actions and some items we have.
Obviously They especially look for food and shelter at home. But let’s go in order. First you have to be careful not to leave any crumbs bread or some homemade cookies. Cockroaches, in fact, love sugars and carbohydrates, but also dry foods.
That’s why they often find their way under the sink, behind the toaster or near the trash can or even in the cupboard drawers. What can we do? Obviously we always eliminate the crumbs and use airtight containers for open cookies for example.
We always throw out the trash, especially when it’s hot, and we always vacuum up the crumbs. Let’s move on in second place they love cockroaches, cracks or fissures. It’s a really ideal hiding place for them.
In fact, they love dark, cramped and super quiet places. The points most at risk? Always under the sink, or behind the refrigerator, on slightly loose baseboards or in the areas around pipes. Obviously, if you see any cracks, seal them with putty or sealant.
The last place they love is places with a lot of moisture, then into the bathroom and behind the furniture. Not to mention under the sink, or next to the shower basin, or in the cabinets hanging on the wall. In this case, be careful and if there are small water leaks, let’s fix them.
Always change the air after showering or hanging clothes, always dry if water forms near bathroom fixtures, and move light furniture to dry.
We also recommend some small treatments which always work and are not expensive. We’re talking about placing bay leaves in the most at-risk areas or spraying a solution of vinegar and peppermint in places you think cockroaches might get into.
