After revealing the cover, DSCENE magazine present document In Transitthe editorial starring Georgia Fowlerrepresented by IMG Modelsfor the Design under pressure issue.
Fashion photographer Gary Lupton photographed the New Zealand model in TWA Hotel at JFK Airport, setting the story in one of New York’s most recognizable modernist interiors.

TOD’S skirt
The editorial is based on the site’s curved architecture, open spaces and strong geometric lines. Fowler moves through the terminal’s interiors as Lupton uses the building’s forms to structure each frame. The setting gives In Transit a controlled visual rhythm, connecting fashion, movement and architecture throughout the series.

For the record, Fowler wears Balenciaga, Chanel, Christian Dior, Louis Vuitton, Chloe, Loro Piana, Tod’s, Akris with Daniel Jacinto serving as coordinating stylist and Julia Shrap handling style on the set. The look introduces sculptural proportions and precise silhouettes that directly respond to the scale and geometry of the TWA Hotel. hairdresser Rei Kawauchi in Bridge Artists and makeup artists Anastasia Vavina created the beauty direction.

The editorial expands on the central theme of the latest issue of DSCENE magazine. Design Under Pressure examines creative work shaped by speed, control, expectation, finance and visibility. The issue looks at how pressure affects the development of ideas, how creative people protect their work and what happens when ambition meets constant demand. Fashion, film, music, design, architecture, art and public life provide different perspectives on a condition that increasingly defines contemporary culture.

Fowler brings nearly two decades of fashion experience to In Transit. Born in Auckland, New Zealand, she entered the industry at the age of 12 and moved to New York at 16 after signing with IMG Models. Her career has grown into runway, editorial and commercial work, giving her a lasting presence in various sectors of the industry.

She established her high-fashion profile through catwalk appearances for leading luxury houses. Fowler walked for Chanel at Versailles in 2012 and later appeared in shows for Prada, Miu Miu, Balmain and Armani. She also reached a wider audience through the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, where she walked for three consecutive years from 2016 to 2018.

Her editorial and commercial work includes magazine covers for Harper’s Bazaar, Elle and L’Officiel, along with international campaigns. Fowler has also worked in film, television and music. She appeared in Nicolas Winding Refn’s 2016 film The Neon Demon, featured in the first season of Project Runway New Zealand, and starred in the music video for Kygo and Selena Gomez’s “It Ain’t Me.”

In Lupton’s In Transit editorial for DSCENE, Fowler’s expertise comes through in controlled movement, direct expression and a clear awareness of the camera. The full story places it in an architectural setting built around circulation and transition, creating a visual response to the theme’s focus on pressure, performance and creative discipline.
