Point Cloud transforms a public square into a moving color field
A vibrant cloud of color drifts through the air Vincent Leroy‘s Point Cloud, which transforms Beijing‘s Taikoo Li Sanlitun in chromatic and kinetic environment. Presented as part of the Fashion Festival 2026, the monumental installation unfolds as a floating constellation of translucent discs moved by wind, light and movement. Shades of electric blue, violet, pink and red constantly ripple through the work as each element spins independently with the slightest current of air. Suspended above the square like an airborne flight of petals, the installation constantly alternates between density and transparency, forming ever-changing compositions in the sky. The work explores color as a living and atmospheric phenomenon.

Vincent Leroy’s composition combines color, air and movement
The individual elements move independently through the space, constantly converging, dispersing and recomposing through subtle variations of air and movement. From a distance, the installation appears as a living floating mass, while closer views reveal a delicate choreography of reflections, slides and movement. As sunlight filters through the translucent surfaces, the installation casts vibrant colored shadows across the ground below, extending the work beyond its physical form. During the day, reflections, colors and movement constantly evolve, turning the Point Cloud against French artist Vincent Leroy in a vibrant atmospheric composition shaped by air, light and time.
