Marine Serre and Under Armour present their first capsule collection on June 5th, opening a new chapter for the sports brand during its 30th anniversary. The project brings together Under Armour’s track record and Marine Serre’s precise design language, with the base layer as the foundation. Inspired by 2000s sportswear, HeatGear and the UA Proto Speed sneakers of the late 2000s, the collection treats movement as a common language for sports, fashion and the body.

Marine Serre brings a personal connection to the collaboration. Before building one of the most watched fashion houses, he competed as a professional tennis player. This athletic background shapes her approach to design, giving the capsule a sense of discipline, control and physical awareness.

The base layer gives the project the clearest starting point. For Under Armour, the base layer marks the product that started the brand’s history, designed for athletes and evolved through decades of performance research. For Marine Serre, the concept is linked to the house’s Second Skin, the moon-patterned mattress that has become one of its most recognizable design codes.

“Sports have always been a part of my life. With Under Armour, I wanted to explore the beauty of movement through pieces that combine performance, precision and beauty – starting with the base layer, the element closest to the athlete’s body and experience,” said Marine Serre, Founder and Creative Director.

The capsule uses a pared down design language built around clean lines, bold black and white contrasts and Under Armor HeatGear. The pieces have the immediacy of performancewear, while Marine Serre adds its graphic identity through a bespoke print.

The UA Proto Speed II returns from the archives for the first time since the late 2000s. Marine Serre and Under Armor maintain the sneaker’s original athleticism while revamping its upper and construction. The shoe features a layered textile base, sculptural leather overlays and a silicone Under Armor x Marine Serre logo placed on the toe and vamp.

Collaboration frames performance through repetition, physical practice, and design intent. “Whether in training or design, progress comes from deliberate repetition and deliberate execution. he said Euron WhiteSVP, GM Sportswear and Collabs at Under Armour. “Starting with the base layer felt intuitive. It’s where this process exists closest to the body—and where our two perspectives meet with clarity and authenticity.”

The limited edition capsule launches first on the Marine Serre website, at select Marine Serre retail locations and through a pop-up in Paris from June 5-7. The temporary space is located at Rue de Turenne, 75003 and presents the collection through an immersive setting. A global release follows later this summer on the Under Armor website.
