If you’ve ever walked into an office and immediately wanted to leave (hello fluorescent lights, sad desks, zero soul) Banda AgencyThe Kiev office will feel like the antidote. Designed by a local studio other architectsthis workplace is less “corporate headquarters” and more beautiful, lived-in home where creative people happen to work.
Located on the second floor of an early 20th century building in the historic center of Kyiv, the 300 square meter office was created around a simple but powerful idea: people do their best work when they are comfortable. Not rigid. No box. Comfortable.
And you can feel that intention right away.
First impressions matter (and this nails it)

You enter through a vintage wooden door that immediately sets the tone — warm, slightly nostalgic and full of character. Inside, original architectural details such as exposed brickwork and decorative moldings are carefully preserved, then layered with modern elements such as oak wall panels and a sleek stainless steel reception desk. It’s that perfect balance of old-meets-new that feels curated, not forced.
Nothing here screams ‘office’. And that’s very much the point.
The Living Room… This happens to be a workplace

Instead of rows of offices, the main space is organized like a communal living room. There’s a long custom table for teamwork, smaller round tables for casual meetings, and comfortable seating that encourages people to linger (and think, talk, and create).

One of my favorite details? A raised podium that can act as a presentation stage or event platform. It’s slim, flexible and smart — exactly how modern offices should work. Add a mix of mid-century European furniture (leather sofas, classic bentwood chairs) and the whole room feels timeless, comfortable and truly inviting.
A kitchen that really gets used

The kitchen and dining room leans fully into the proportion of the house. Small tables, mismatched vintage chairs, lots of plants and soft lighting make it look more like a neighborhood coffee shop than a break room. A sculptural stainless steel bar adds a contemporary edge, but the overall atmosphere remains relaxed and social.

This is clearly a space designed for real human interaction — coffee breaks, spontaneous conversations and moments that spark ideas.
Spaces for creativity, rest and restoration

Beyond the main spaces, the office includes a hands-on workshop lined with brushed aluminum studs – a place for prototyping, making and experimenting. And then there’s the “Cloud Lounge,” a raised, softly upholstered space with dreamy sky-inspired finishes that feels almost surreal. It’s meant for rest, reflection, or just drifting off when your brain needs a breather.
Fair? Every office should have something like this.
Why it works so well

What he does Banda AgencyIt’s not just the furniture or the finishes that make his office truly special — it’s the mindset behind the design. This is a workplace that has value comfort, flexibility and emotional well-being as well as productivity. It recognizes that creativity thrives not under pressure or rigidity, but in spaces that feel human and alive.
It’s proof that offices don’t have to feel cold or impersonal to be functional. Sometimes the best thing you can do for your team is to make work feel a little more like home.
