Simon Rocha will present her first full menswear collection as guest designer at the 110th edition of Pitti Immagine Uomo in Florence. Until now, her menswear was featured in womenswear shows, where it was developed alongside the main collection. Four years ago, she presented her first menswear show Paris Fashion Weekcreating an initial direction that continued to evolve over the next few seasons. More recently, it included its Fall 2026 menswear offering at its womenswear show in London, where it also presented a collaboration with Adidas. The Florence launch will focus exclusively on menswear, giving the category its own space and structure within the brand.

Rocha described the upcoming presentation as a step toward independence for her menswear work. “It’s an amazing opportunity” she said. “Until now menswear has been very hand in hand with womenswear. Now I feel ready for it to stand on its own and be its own proposition.” The Florence show will serve as the first full expression of this direction, presenting menswear as a complete and independent offering.

Pitti Immagine highlights Rocha’s consistent approach to design, showing a visual language that maintains a strong personal direction. Francesca Tacconispecial events coordinator at Pitti Immagine, noted that Rocha’s work continues to attract attention through its ability to evoke emotion and visual interest. Her designs reflect a combination of influences that include Ireland, Hong Kong, art and family, shaping a perspective that remains specific to her background.

Rocha’s work often moves through layered references, where historical elements interact with contemporary forms. Her collections create narrative-driven environments where the clothes carry a sense of continuity between past and present. The design language draws on gothic elements, romantic structures and sportswear references, creating compositions that alternate between softness and structure.

The upcoming Pitti Uomo presentation will reveal how these ideas translate into a fully developed menswear framework. The event takes place from June 16 to 19, providing a setting where Rocha can present her work to an international audience in a format dedicated to menswear. The Florence platform has long supported designers who use the occasion to explore new directions or improve existing ones.
