When New York starts to heat up in the summer, things change. The city is flourishing as people travel from all over the world to experience the confluence of history, modernity and culture. There’s also the hustle and bustle, the speed and the smells. Nestled in the heart of New York’s Meatpacking District is an exhibition that begs you to slow down.
Now on display at Tuleste factory, If you want Peace job characteristics from Stefon Diggs and SI VIS PACEM, a collection that debuted at Design Miami 2025 in December. Dipped in a blue that looks almost perfectly like the sky on a summer afternoon, the exhibit features the NFL wide receiver’s furniture alongside surreal paintings by Lindsay Dawnco-founder of SI VIS PACEM. The pairing creates an eerie dialogue that gives a distinct illusion of floating in space.
Organic curves and spatial relationships are key to this collection – scale is essential to make a place feel like home. The coated mirrors seen below occupy quite an imposing presence in the room, managing to create another dimension just beyond the wall. A sense of softness and playfulness extends throughout the collection, even to the toy soldiers. It’s big enough to feel subversive, while small enough to feel whimsical.
One of our favorite tables is The Tree, The Ashtray of LennisThe Leisure 3 in creamand the ladybug inspired Good luck (shown above from left to right). A modular sculpture, The Tree features extended roots and entire leaf branches, creating a subtle mixed effect on the walls and floor. Built in the style of a drinks table or table, the Lenis Ashtray features a cup holder, separate from the main tray. The Otium III maintains a lightness in the cream exterior and organic shape, inspired by a lake.
Once vintage toy figures, toy soldiers transform into mini tables. Sculpted green pieces are both nostalgic and functional.
The SI VIS SPACEM project gives Diggs creative freedom in the design process.
“I find the greatest sense of peace in myself and in the spaces I create,” she says. “With this exhibition, I wanted to explore that feeling through an environment that feels a little more wild, welcoming, playful and deeply human, while still having a sense of refuge.”
With a focus on built-in comfort and safety, each piece holds its own while working cohesively within the collection.
