Adidas Originals and Avirex are back with the second part of their collaboration, presenting a new black color of it Avirex Superstar. The release connects the adidas Superstar’s basketball origins with Avirex’s longstanding presence in New York streetwear, bringing both references into a single, updated execution.

SNEAKERS

The Superstar carries its established identity while incorporating Avirex’s approach to leather and detailing. The design is based on the silhouette’s association with basketball, while the material treatment shifts its appearance in a more street-focused direction. The result reflects a shared history between sports and streetwear, rooted in New York and conveyed through this collaboration.

The Spring 2026 campaign places the release in a New York context, featuring Ian JacksonBronx native, guard for St. John and adidas NIL athlete, along with New York based DJ Nyla Symone. The campaign is based on the connection between basketball culture and street style, presenting the Superstar in an environment where both influences exist side by side.

adidas and Avirex expand launch with physical activation in New York. The brands will host a pop-up event on Saturday, March 21st at the newly opened adidas Soho store located at 135 Spring Street. The event invites the community to engage directly with the release by offering access to the sneaker during the opening weekend of the NCAA Men’s Division I Basketball Tournament.

Avirex Superstar retails for $180. The release will take place on Saturday 21 March, available exclusively via the CONFIRMED app and at the adidas Store in Soho. This distribution keeps the focus on a limited and location-driven release, reinforcing the connection between the product and its New York setting.

Through this second installment, adidas Originals and Avirex continue to build on a common language shaped by basketball and streetwear.
