Carhartt WIP presents the Preview Fall Winter 2026 collection with an emphasis on texture, wash and surface treatment. Released ahead of the main seasonal collection, the preview arrives in late spring and gives an early look at the brand’s direction for the colder months. The line focuses on distressed finishes, heavy fabrics, garment dyeing and new print treatments, using familiar Carhartt WIP shapes as a base for updated construction and color.
Preview Collections arrive twice a year, in May and November, and serve as a transition between seasons. For Fall Winter 2026, Carhartt WIP puts the material character at the center. The collection introduces new fabrics and washes in canvas, denim, jersey, cotton ripstop and printed styles.
A fresh wash gives many WIP Carhartt canvas icons a distressed, worn look. The treatment appears on the OG Chore Coat, the OG Arcan Women’s Jacket and the OG Double Knee Pants. Carhartt WIP combines hand finishing techniques with fine fraying along seams and legs, giving each garment slight differences in surface and wear. The process creates pieces with an individual finish, since no two objects come out exactly alike.
Denim and jersey pieces feature paint splatters and faded effects, adding more variety to the collection’s surface language. These details give the line a used, reworked quality without taking away from the structure of the garments.
The Madison Jacket returns in garment-dyed cotton ripstop, giving the piece a different texture and depth of color. Cargo pants and shorts continue the utilitarian trend, while the new Manderson jacket combines elements of a jacket and coat. This hybrid construction keeps the piece close to workwear while adding a more layered outerwear function.
The new Brader Blazer takes the same approach through customization. Carhartt WIP revamps the mini coat silhouette as a suit jacket, adding a notched lapel and three-button front. The piece maintains a practical base while moving into a sharper form, linking workwear structure with tailored detailing.
The heavyweight jersey marks the gradual transition into autumn. Carhartt WIP uses deep hues with jersey-style dyed garments, creating a darker seasonal tone. The woven Square Label takes on a hazy finish during the dyeing process, visible on pieces such as the new Harper Half Zip Polo and the Women’s Hoggard Hooded Jacket.
Prints add another direction to the season. The new duck feather print offers an abstract take on traditional duck camo and animal print, using earth tones that suggest real plumage. The print appears on Travon styles including a short sleeve shirt, pants and shorts. Snake camo returns this season as a laser print on a double knee shirt and shorts, exclusively in the women’s collection.
