Stone, Timber volumes and Water Define Resort Beach Club
The Resort Beach Club is located at the southwest end of the development Peloponnese is in direct relation to the adjacent marina. Designed by Giorgos Batzios Architectsthe project is based on the spatial qualities of the area’s coastal settlements and the character of the nearby fishing bay, translating these references into a contemporary architectural composition.
The beach club is organized as a cluster of natural stone volumes connected to outdoor spaces, wooden pergolas and water features. The layout creates a gradual transition between the built environment, the landscape and the marina, while framing the waterfront views. Material choices, including local expressions stone and timber structures, strengthen the connection of the project with its coastal environment.

Giorgos Batzios organizes two stands around the Lagoon pool
The program is divided into two independent pavilions, each with an area of approximately 300 sq.m. The east pavilion houses the restaurant and associated service areas, including the kitchen, storerooms and back-of-house facilities. The western building contains the bar, marina management offices, retail operations, sanitary facilities and support functional areas required for marina operations.
Central to the project is the swimming pool, which has been designed as a landscape feature rather than a conventional leisure basin. Designed to evoke the character of a natural lagoon, the pool incorporates a series of underwater terraces that create varying depths and encourage different modes of use. The stepped configuration includes levels at -0.20m, -0.40m, -0.80m and -1.40m, establishing a gradual transition from shallow to deeper water while contributing to the overall integration of architecture and landscape.
Through the combination of stone volumes, wooden shading structures, water features and outdoor circulation, the Resort Beach Club explores a contemporary interpretation of the Peloponnese seaside environment. The work of Georges Batzios Architects Studio it combines hospitality, leisure and marina-related functions in a spatial context shaped by local architectural references, material continuity and the relationship between land and sea.
