ACUTE works with the New York menswear company 18 East to introduce a limited edition of it Jasper Zionic sneaky. The collaboration marries outdoor functionality with a streetwear-focused approach, reimagining an existing silhouette through material updates and surface treatments. The release brings KEEN’s hybrid footwear into a new context shaped by 18 East’s design language.

The Jasper Zionic comes from climbing culture and combines elements from two existing models. It combines the fast hiking performance of the Zionic with the lace structure and design identity of the Jasper sneaker. The result is a multi-purpose shoe built for a variety of everyday use, from outdoor activities to urban wear. This foundation remains intact, while 18 East introduces changes that change the visual direction.

18 East founder Antonio Ciongoli approaches design through flexibility. It chooses ballistic nylon and soft suede for the upper, creating contrast in texture and durability. The nylon gets an all-over Rajasthani stitch pattern, executed on 3M reflective thread. This detail refers to traditional craft techniques while increasing visibility in different environments. The update connects visual design with functional performance.
Cooperation also introduces subtle structural adjustments. The toe panel features a suede construction shaped to suggest a T-Toe shape. This modification changes the front profile without altering the overall identity of the shoe. A large heel pull adds a clear 18 East logo, giving the sneaker a defined co-brand element.
Material procurement follows existing KEEN standards. The suede leather comes from tanneries certified by the Leather Working Group, supporting environmental and social practices. Detailed stitching reinforces the construction and adds texture to the upper.

The outsole supports performance through a higher grip rubber base. An aggressive studded lug pattern improves ground contact and supports all-day movement. A heel impact pad wraps the outsole around the back of the shoe, helping to absorb shock during use. The shoe also features a tongue-to-toe lace-up contoured fit that locks the foot in place for stability.
Additional functionality appears through KEEN’s Eco Anti-Odor technology. The system uses natural probiotics to control odor while maintaining safety for both the user and the environment. This feature aligns with the shoe’s focus on practical use in different conditions.
The Jasper Zionic 18 East sneaker will be released in the United States on April 17th, 2026. It will be available in men’s sizes through KEEN’s official website, 18 East’s online store, and select retailers.
