Sima it takes its cues from the floor mats that are traditionally made of straw and are preferred in Asia. “This rug was inspired by handmade tatami mats in Japan, but our version is an update with added stripes,” says Ben Hyman, co-founder and CEO of Revival Rugs.
Made from recycled polyester with PET derived from plastic bottles, this option resists moisture and mildew, making it ideal for outdoor use. The voluminous flatweave pays homage to 1990s minimalism, with vibrant, thin bands floating on the surface. Shima’s peachy color is as fresh as its namesake fruit, while Jungle, a lush green tone, evokes lush foliage.
khderanother of the latest offerings in the line, it projects visual energy reminiscent of Moroccan design and features shapes that dazzle underfoot. “Khder is a play of asymmetrical patches of color that weave in and out of the field of the rug,” notes Hyman. “Perfect for creating movement in any space, no matter how it’s placed, this rug looks better the more you walk, play or snuggle on it.”
Made from New Zealand wool and cotton, this handmade rug adds an artistic touch and brightens up everyday environments. A medium pile height of 0.39 inches provides extra softness and warmth at ground level. And unlike many woolen fabrics that can only be cleaned by hand, Khder is machine washable. With a mix of purple and pink undertones, the Rose shade provides just the right combination of modern and vintage appeal. The Moss shade combines light and dark green together for a more organic look.
